TripAdvisor’s annual ranking of the world’s most beautiful beaches is usually an important benchmark for beach lovers.
The ranking is compiled based on traveler ratings and reviews collected over all 12 months.
I’ve already taken a look at the updated ranking, and having seen some of these beaches myself, I pretty much agree with all the ratings. I believe it’s a list you can definitely rely on if you’re looking to enjoy the most beautiful beaches on your next vacation.
10. Myrtos Beach, Kefalonia, Greece

Myrtos Beach is located in the northwestern part of Kefalonia and is considered one of the most spectacular beaches in the Ionian Sea.
As you can see from the picture, it’s all surrounded by towering cliffs and characterized by white sand and pebbles.

The sea is turquoise with a gorgeous color that intensifies as the water gets deeper. It really looks like a landscape right out of a postcard.
I was lucky enough to visit it a few years ago, and I recommend stopping at the lookout point along the road leading to the beach; The view from the top is simply breathtaking.
PRO TIP: Remember to bring sea shoes because the pebbles can be painful under the feet. Another positive thing is that the beach is a mile long, so it’s almost never overcrowded.
9. Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, Indonesia

Similar to the previous one, Kelingking Beach is nestled in a breathtaking natural landscape and surrounded by towering cliffs (I would say that these ones are even more breathtaking).
The sand is gold, and the sea is crystal-clear blue-green, perfect for snorkeling and underwater exploration.
Although it is easily accessible and has ample parking, it maintains a quiet and secluded atmosphere. If you visit Indonesia, definitely go there at least for one day.
8. Playa De Muro, Maiorca, Spain

Playa de Muro is a family-friendly beach surrounded by pine trees and characterized by long stretches of fine sand and turquoise waters.
This beach is perfect if you like to walk, relax in the sun, snorkel, or try SUP for the first time.
The water is pleasantly warm, and the beach is equipped with toilets, showers, and a lifeguard service. It’s also easily accessible by public transportation and offers free parking.
7. Bavaro Beach, Bavaro, Dominican Republic

Bavaro Beach is one of the Dominican Republic’s pearls. It has soft, white sand, warm, clear waters, and shaded areas provided by palm trees.
Most of the area is protected by a coral reef, so this beach is perfect if you prefer calm seas, and it’s ideal for swimming or simply relaxing in the water.
Extra travel tip: If you can, go on the sunset catamaran excursion. It’s a truly must-do experience to view the coast from a different perspective.
6. Playa Varadero, Cuba

Playa Varadero is a timeless classic. Many of you probably already know or have been to this beach.
It has a long expanse of white sand that stretches for nearly 20 kilometers and you will find spaces for everyone, from equipped areas to wilder spots.
With year-round warm weather, it’s a perfect destination in any season. If you go there, I also recommend the nearby Bellamar caves.
5. Praia da Falésia, Portugal

Bach to Europe with Praia da Falésia in Portugal. This beach is famous for its red cliffs that contrast with the deep blue ocean.
It’s the perfect beach for long walks and offers ideal conditions both for swimming and surfing. I recommend walking the scenic path at the top of the cliffs, from there you can enjoy an amazing view.

If you can, try to go in the late afternoon; the light of sunset will color the cliffs, and you’ll get a unique sight (perfect for an Instagram photo)
4. Siesta Key Beach, Florida, USA

In fourth place on the list is a U.S. beach: Siesta Key Beach in Florida. It’s famous for its powdery white sand, which is 99% quartz, giving it a silky, talcum-like texture.
The crystal-clear water and laid-back vibe make it one of Florida’s best beaches.
Accessibility is another highlight since this beach is reachable by public transportation and equipped with wheelchair ramps. I recommend staying for the sunset; the local community often hosts drum circles on the beach, offering a unique cultural and musical experience.
3. Eagle Beach, Aruba

Eagle Beach in Aruba takes the third spot on the podium. Among the many beaches in Aruba, Eagle Beach is one of the quietest and least crowded.
The soft white sand, warm waters, and one of the most beautiful sunsets in the Caribbean make it perfect for relaxing.
I had a chance to visit it and suggest you rent a jet ski to explore the coast. Also, there are excellent restaurants nearby where you can enjoy the local cuisine.
2. Banana Beach, Phuket, Thailand

Second place goes to Banana Beach in Phuket, Thailand. Banana Beach is like a hidden gem in Phuket, but it is less well-known than other beaches on the island. For this reason, it could be a good choice if you hate overrated tourist attractions.
It’s an ideal place for those seeking a bit of adventure: the coral reefs offer spectacular snorkeling opportunities, while the waves are perfect for surfing.
If you just want to relax, you can try beach massages or enjoy local specialties at small kiosks.

PRO TIP: Remember to bring a mask to admire the colorful fish just a few meters from the shore.
1. Elafonissi, Crete, Greece

First place, and crowned the best beach of 2025, is Elafonissi in Crete. Elafonissi Beach is a natural spectacle that truly leaves you speechless.
Its pink sand and turquoise waters create an incredible contrast. The shallow lagoons make it perfect for families, while the deeper areas offer opportunities for swimming and snorkeling.

I have been there once and recommend arriving early in the morning when the beach is still quiet so you can fully enjoy the scenery. Again, don’t forget rock shoes to explore the surrounding rocky areas.
Like many other beaches on this list, I highly recommend staying at Elafonissi for the sunset. The colors transform, casting a unique magic over the beach that you won’t experience anywhere else!
If you’re planning a trip to any of these places, try to avoid the airlines that often lose suitcases. In addition, remember to have a look at the packing hacks that will save you tons of space.
